Discover a glowing forest, full of magic and twinkling lights!

Join us for a special lantern walking trail, celebrating our native wildlife and Te Pō, the night. Small groups will be guided through the Orokonui forest as night falls, encountering lantern installations, music, and performances made possible in partnership with the Dunedin Mid-Winter Carnival. The walk covers around 1.5km of walking, across mostly flat gravel track. There are with some grassy sections, and short sections with inclines and declines. This is a fundraising event for Orokonui Ecosanctuary and Dunedin Mid-Winter Carnival, working together to help our wildlife and communities thrive.
