Roots of Resilience: Managing Climate Anxiety Through Mind and Nature

How can we stay steady and hopeful in a changing climate?

Join Dunedin psychiatrist and founder of Mind & Nature, Dr Ivan Lin, for a half-day evidence-based workshop exploring the roots of climate anxiety — and how to cultivate calm, confidence and connection through both mind and nature. This is a one-of-a-kind workshop that weaves together the science of the mind with the healing presence of nature.

The morning includes an indoor session on how our minds respond to environmental uncertainty, introducing the science of how our thoughts and emotions work, along with practical evidence-informed tools to strengthen wellbeing and resilience.

This will be followed by an outdoor guided session in the rich natural setting of Orokonui Ecosanctuary, where birdsong and forest air invite you to practise these techniques through mindful immersion in nature.

Morning tea is provided, along with free entry to Orokonui Ecosanctuary.

Not suitable for wheelchairs, gentle walking on gravel tracks.
